University & higher-education guidance
Course and country selection, application strategy, personal statements, and the transition from school to university, helping each student build a list and a story that genuinely fit.
Academic counsellor. University guidance, academic planning, and student wellbeing.
I help students navigate the path from school to university, and the questions underneath it: what to study, how to work, and how to stay well along the way. My practice is grounded in psychology and applied neuroscience.
Good counselling begins with listening. The plan, the applications, the choices: they all follow from understanding the student in front of you.
Tracy Abi Hanna is an academic and university counsellor in Doha. She guides secondary-school students through the decisions that shape what comes next: subject choices, study habits, university applications, and the pressure that comes with them, pairing the everyday craft of counselling with a grounding in psychology and applied neuroscience. Her approach is patient and evidence-led: know the student, map the options, and build a plan they can actually follow. Before moving into education she coordinated clinical research at the American University of Beirut Medical Centre, and she is completing a Master of Science in Applied Neuroscience at King's College London.
Course and country selection, application strategy, personal statements, and the transition from school to university, helping each student build a list and a story that genuinely fit.
Subject choices, study habits, and time-management, counselling that helps a student understand how they work best, with the academic-integrity grounding that keeps the work their own.
A psychology- and neuroscience-informed approach to stress, motivation, and how students learn, so the support reaches the whole student, not just the transcript.
For IB students: subject selection, the core (Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and CAS) and steady guidance through the diploma, drawing on experience coordinating the programme.
